Are you ready to go on the most amazing horseback riding experience of your life ? During this horseback riding tour, you will see mountains, rivers, lagoons, beaches, wild animals, and the most beautiful sunset of Puerto Escondido!
Ride a horse along a path by the corn river. On the way you will be surrounded with papaya trees, corn, peanuts, coconuts & many birds. You will cross two rivers, go through the jungle, to finally reach a small branch of the lagoon of Manialtepec, where you will be welcomed by locals that will help you cross the waters on their tiny boats. Our guides will take off the horses settles and guide them to cross the lagoon swimming, while you’ll be enjoying the show from the other side.
After crossing the lagoon, you will get back on your horse to ride on a salvage beach called Puerto Suelo. You will then have a break at a local restaurant with a breathtaking view over the ocean.
Finally, you will ride on the beach at sunset, before getting back home.

Pick up
Get picked up from the location of your choice. Let's take a 30 minutes ride to reach the village of San Jose de Manialtepec.

Meet the horses & their owners
On your arrival, you will meet the horses owners and find the horse that fits you best. After a quick speech about security guidelines, let the real adventure begin !

Crossing rivers
Ride your horse accompanied by our certified guides and your family and / or friends. After a 10 to 15 minutes ride in the fields, surrounded by wild animals, cows, horses, you will cross the first part of the river of Manialtepec.After another 15 minutes ride in the jungle, you will reach the second and biggest river to cross. Depending on the level of the river, you might get a little bit wet !

Crossing the lagoon
After having crossed the second river, you will enjoy another 10 minutes ride until you reach a small branch of the lagoon of Manialtepec. On that part, you might have the opportunity to see small crocodiles, as many of them are living in the mangroves closeby. Our guides will help you getting off from your horses, to embark on a small boat and cross the lagoon. Once on the other side of it, you will enjoy an amazing show of horses swimming in the lagoon until they reach you on the beach side !

Welcome to Puerto Suelo
Let's get back on the horses to enjoy a horse ride on Puerto Suelo's beach ! If you feel confident enough, the guides will be happy to help you with your first (or not) gallop ! Galloping on the beach is definitely an experience that you won't forget...

Break time
After a 10 minutes ride on the beach, you will reach a local restaurant where you will take a 30 minutes to one hour break. Enjoy the beauty of the place. You can order order water, coconuts, sodas, beers and local seafood to relax ! One drink is already included in the price of the tour.

Sunset ride
Let's get back on your respective horses to start the beach ride by sunset. This is definitely the most popular part of the trip (according to our guests) ! You will have a 10 to 15 minutes ride on the beach, enjoying the most beautiful sunset of Puerto Escondido. After enjoying the sunset, let's get back on the boat to cross back the lagoon before night.

Night ride
After crossing the lagoon, you will have a 30 minutes ride back to our transportation. No worries, you won't have to cross any rivers on the way back as we will be getting back by a shorter and easier path. You will start to see the stars, and depending on the season, some fireflies along the path.

Getting back
Let's drive back to Puerto Escondido. We'll drop you off in front of your hotel / home.

I recently went on two tours with this tour agency in Puerto Escondido and had an amazing time! First, I went on a dolphin watching tour and saw so many playful dolphins swimming in the waves. It was an unforgettable experience and I felt so lucky to be able to witness these majestic creatures up close.Next, I went on a whale watching tour and was blown away by the size and beauty of the whales. We even got to see a mother and her calf swimming together! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of interesting information about the whales and their behavior.Overall, I highly recommend this tour agency for anyone visiting Puerto Escondido. The tours are well-organized and the guides are friendly and professional. Plus, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking! Amazing tour and guide to ensure everything goes smoothly! Plus he is multi lingual and speaks French, English and Spanish. We were in such good luck! We had a tour agency not show up and we found this company last minute. Everything about the tour was perfect. We did the Horse back riding with Hot Spring. Arrived on time, cold water in car, friendly guide and a perfect riding time. This was a highlight of our trip and would not hesitate to recommend this tour company. Friendly and professional and you can see he had a great relationship with the locals who care for the horses.
Pierre was AMAZING, kind and sincere. He was so welcoming and made my family and I all feel like long lost friends. The tour was definitely the best experience of my life. I've never seen so much beauty in one place. My parents are in their 50s and they absolutely loved it. The level of activity isn't super high, so it's suitable for older folks as well. I'd also like to mention Nacho, the owner of the horses, he was the sweetest and kindest soul, it was like talking to an uncle. He's very knowledgeable and his beautiful horses (Coral, Rebelde, Titanic and Canelo) are so well trained and calm, and they listen to his voice at his command. We never felt scared of them, and they're very used to people. I'm definitely telling all my friends to book a your with Pierre and Nacho. They definitely make an awesome team!
We had the tour on New Years Eve - and it was amazing. Only few people, everything well organized and a lot of fun. The horses are well educated and the nature including the beach and the lagoon overwhelming. It‘s worth every peso. Thanks to Pierre and Nico.
The horseback riding tour was in one word amazing! The tour has different phases like crossing a river, running with the horses on the beach, stunning sunset views and finally seeing hundreds of fireflies on the way back. Pierre is a really friendly guide with a good sense of humor:) Worth your money I can say!

We had a great experience with the bioluminescence tour - really an astonishing phenomenon. The pick up and drop off service was great and Pierre is an amazing guy who also gave us plenty of tips for PE and more in general for Central America! Highly recommended.
We went to watch the turtles give birth in Playa Escobilla with Pierre and it was breathtaking !! So glad being able to watch this rare phenomenon ! After that we released baby turtles in front of the ocean. What an amazing experience 😍 Everything went super well ! The time / transport / explanations ... 100% recommend 👍👍
