What to Expect
Surfing is an outdoor activity for men and women of all ages. The difficulty ranges from 2 to 7 depending on conditions, and everyone progresses at their own pace — but one thing is guaranteed: you are going to enjoy it.
For beginners, the lesson is split 50% theory on land and 50% practice in the water. Your instructor starts on the sand with a clear, hands-on demonstration of paddling, popping up, and reading the wave. You practise the pop-up motion until it feels automatic, then head into the water where your instructor stays within arm's reach, positioning you on the right waves and giving real-time feedback. Most beginners stand up and ride to shore multiple times during the session.
For intermediate surfers, the lesson focuses on polishing and improving your existing technique — better positioning, wave selection, and turning.
