Our Story
Puerto Escondido MX was born from a simple idea: travelers deserve more than cookie-cutter tours. When our founders arrived in Puerto Escondido in 2017, they fell in love with the raw beauty of the Oaxacan coast — the thundering waves of Zicatela, the bioluminescent lagoons, the warmth of the local community. They also noticed that most visitors were barely scratching the surface of what this incredible place has to offer.
So we built something different. We partnered with local fishermen for our boat tours, local ranchers for our horseback rides, indigenous communities for our hot springs adventures, and trained guides who were born and raised in the region. Every experience we offer is rooted in authentic relationships with the people and places of Puerto Escondido.
