Jumping from 10,000 feet over Puerto Escondido delivers 30 seconds of freefall at 200 km/h above the Pacific coastline, followed by a 5–7 minute canopy ride with views that stretch from the Sierra Madre to the open ocean. This is the most dramatic way to experience the Oaxacan coast — a moment that makes a difference.

Your experience

What to Expect

The experience takes place at the La Punta Zicatela area. After a thorough ground briefing on body position, harness operation, and landing procedures, you board a small aircraft that climbs over the coast. The door opens at 10,000 feet and you step out strapped to a certified tandem instructor who handles everything technical.

The freefall lasts roughly 30 seconds at 200 km/h (120 mph), with the coastline, beaches, and blue Pacific rushing up toward you. At 5,000 feet the parachute deploys and the world goes quiet. The canopy ride lasts 5 to 7 minutes, giving you time to absorb the panorama: Zicatela's long crescent, the green hills behind town, and the endless horizon where sky meets ocean. Your instructor may let you steer the canopy before guiding you to a soft landing.
