The night begins with a beginner-friendly salsa class led by an energetic instructor who breaks the steps down until they feel natural. You will learn basic timing, partner holds, and simple turn patterns that have you dancing with confidence within the first thirty minutes. The atmosphere is social and relaxed, with other travelers and locals sharing the floor.
After working up a thirst on the dance floor, the group transitions to a guided mezcal tasting. Your host walks you through several small-batch mezcals made from different agave varieties, explaining the smoky, floral, and earthy notes in each pour. The combination of rhythm and mezcal makes for an evening that feels distinctly Oaxacan.
